Community Backpack Giveaway

Every year before school begins we host a FREE Backpack and School Supply Giveaway for our community. This is a simple way for us to show the love of Jesus to those in our community.

Room in the Inn

Room in the Inn is 24-year-old city-wide effort to meet the increasing need for housing the homeless during the winter months. Each Friday night in November - March, Woodson Chapel hosts 12-13 men with a place to sleep, shower, clothing, a hot dinner, breakfast, sack lunch and a chance to relax with other men who care for them. Members of Woodson cook meals, drive buses, wash bed linens, and spend the night with these men as we seek to help get them back on their feet. Volunteers are always needed please contact the Church Office, Russell Crouch, or Frank Peeler to get involved.

Pack the Pulpit

Pack the Pulpit is an annual event at Woodson Chapel. We take one Sunday in November to fill our pulpit with items needed for the ministry chosen for that year. Last year we gave supplies to residents at three local senior living facilities. Members donated the items, packed the items into gift bags and then delivered the gift bags to the different facilities for them to distribute to their residents. The gift bags had everything from a blanket, to toiletries, to crossword puzzles and word finds.

God’s Word for Warriors

Bus Trips

Woodson Chapel Church of Christ loves to take bus trips to encourage our mission points. We typically participate in a weekend workshop with the congregation.
