Shepherds


Ford Holman

Ford was born in Montgomery, Alabama, in 1952, but has lived in Nashville since 1955. He attended Lipscomb University, where he met his wife, Wanda. They have three adult children and six grandchildren. Ford retired after 30 years as a government attorney. He has attended the Hillsboro, Central, and Woodson Chapel congregations, and became an elder at Woodson Chapel in April 2012.

Jimmy McCollum

Jimmy was born in Nashville and graduated from Lipscomb University, where he met his wife, Susan. They were married in 1989, the same year Jimmy began teaching in the department of communication and journalism at Lipscomb. Jimmy and Susan have two adult children, Lauren Johnson (married to Daniel) and Drew. Jimmy has served as an elder since April 2012.

Kendall Harris

Kendall, a Knoxville native, has always lived in Tennessee. He met his wife, Kim, while attending optometry school in Memphis. After graduating in 1981, he settled in Nashville to establish his practice. Soon afterwards, they began attending Woodson Chapel. They have raised two daughters and now enjoy having two grandchildren. Kendall began serving as an elder in February 2006.

Tim Caylor

Tim was born in Nashville and graduated from Lipscomb University. After graduating from Lipscomb, he met his wife, Leigh, and they were married in 1996. They have three children, Madi (married to Davis), Meg (married to Cabot), and Ben (Harding student). Tim works in information technology and enjoys hiking and traveling with his family. He began serving as an elder at Woodson Chapel in March 2021.

Tim Smith

Tim was born in Westmoreland, Tennessee, but has lived in Nashville since attending Lipscomb University in the mid-1980s. While at Lipscomb, he met his wife, Kim and they married in 1988. They have two adult children, Clay (married to Aubrey) and Parker (a member of the CAYAC group at Woodson), and one grandson, Milo. Tim is the Chief Business Development Officer for a national urgent care company. He began serving as an elder in March 2020.

Wesley Walker

Preaching Minister

Wesley preached his first sermon when he was 9, and from that point on he has been preaching to audiences all over the world. His passion is to help people grow in their relationship with Jesus. In his free time he can be found playing with his three children or spending time with his wife, Amanda.

Hunter Kennamer

Youth Minister

Hunter began his youth & family ministry career in January of 2017. He enjoys helping young people grow into godly adults that serve Jesus in their daily lives! Hunter married his wife, Jennie, on June 3, 2017. They love chasing around their two little boys, James Hunter & Jett.

Greg Adams

College and Young Adult Minister

Greg moved to Nashville in the fourth grade and has been here ever since. After graduating from Lipscomb University, he met his wife, Sheryl, at church. They have three adult children who also live in Nashville. Greg has been teaching elementary school for over twenty years and has been serving Woodson Chapel as the college and young adult (CAYAC) minister since 2014.

Mike McPherson

Involvement Minister

Mike serves as the Involvement Minister at Woodson Chapel. He was a youth minister for 29 years and served at Woodson Chapel for 16 of those years. Mike has taught Bible and coached basketball for over 30 years. He is currently teaching and coaching at Nashville Christian High School. Mike has two sons, Brent and Brad. Brent is married to Lindsey, and they have two children: Mason and Maddie.

Dwayne Archibald

Care Minister

I have attended Woodson Chapel Church of Christ for over 22 years along with my wife Sharon. We have been happily married for over 40 years and have three children and two grandchildren. As the Care Ministry Leader, I have the honor of assisting our church family that have special needs. This includes visiting the sick in their homes and at the hospitals. I also visit those in assisted living and nursing home facilities. In addition, I am responsible for organizing and directing monthly devotionals at two local senior living facilities. I also assume special assignments directed by our church Elders. My wife, Sharon, is instrumental in assisting and encouraging me with these efforts.   

Tammy Hackett

Children’s Ministry

Tammy oversees our Children’s Ministry. She has a background in education, and she and her husband, Cameron, have two daughters. Tammy and her team are incredibly creative at connecting the stories of the Bible to our children at Woodson Chapel.

Stephanie Spear

Office Secretary

Stephanie has served as our church office Secretary since June of 2019. Her and her husband, Richard, have three children. Andrea is a Junior at Western Kentucky University and in our College and Young Adult Class. Kara is a senior in high school and in our youth group. Caleb is in 7th grade and is in our youth group. Stephanie earned her associates degree in June of 2021 with Summa Cum Laude honors and as a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

Rebecca Pyle

Associate Secretary

Rebecca joined the Woodson Chapel staff in 2023 as a part-time associate secretary after more than 15 years in the veterinary field. But when she is not working, she is volunteering with the pet therapy group she helps runs with 2 of her certified therapy cats. She enjoys spending time with her husband, David and their 5 cats and also enjoys vacations visiting zoos around the country and the world..
