Center-Based Learning to Help Kids Grow Spiritually

Each Sunday, an event from the Bible is told in an engaging way through various tools such as skits, blacklight drawings, puppets and even campfire scenes where stories are reviewed and treasured. Within a scope and sequence of three years, the learners are artfully guided through the story of God’s love from Genesis to Revelation.

Storytime Center

It’s true…God and science can co-exist! Through hands-on activities, students learn scientific facts which help bring lessons from the Storytime Center alive in concrete ways. This center is also a great way to teach our students Christian evidences and arm them with important truths to share with others about our living God.

Science Center

Think Bible class means sitting in your seat the whole time? Not in the Game Center! Through innovative games, students are able to review the facts of the Storytime Center lesson while having fun and moving their bodies. Game Center helps those who are more active learn the Bible in a way which is effective for them.

Game Center

Creative ideas flow freely as students are encouraged to produce a craft which will not only help them remember what they have learned in the Storytime Center, but also allow them a chance to show off their originality!

Children’s Bible Hour

Our mission for Children's Bible Hour is to follow the principles found in Luke 2:52: Teach children that the Bible is true and full of many important things that God wants them to know.

  • Teach children that God is their creator.

  • Teach children how to worship God.

  • Teach children the scriptures.

  • Teach children about God’s desire for a loving relationship with Him and with our neighbors.

Each month will feature a theme and memory verse.  The group worship period will feature a short devotional tying the theme of the month, singing, a Bible reading, and a prayer.  After the group worship period, the children are dismissed to their classroom by age.

The classes are divided into two classrooms:  Ages 3 through Kindergarten and 1st Grade and 2nd Grade.

“And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man”.

~ Luke 2:52

Meet Ms. Tammy

Hello! Welcome to our Children’s Ministry page. Our mission is to have children learn about the Word, grow in the Word and then share it with others. Having come from an education background and the mother of two girls, I love incorporating what I know about children’s learning styles with sharing the amazing stories of God’s love found in scripture.

Woodson Chapel has been my home for over thirty years. I can confidently say our ministry and students are loved and supported by the whole congregation. Come find out what is special about us, and feel free to email me with any questions you may have!
