What We Believe

Sin separates us from God. Fortunately, through God’s grace and mercy, He has a way that provides forgiveness for our sins. Read for yourself God’s plan for salvation. Not from someone’s own agenda or a manmade doctrine or prayer that never appears in the Bible, but straight from the Bible itself:

1. Hear the Word

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” – Romans 10:17

We can’t have faith in God without hearing the Word of God.

2. Believe

“He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.” – Mark 16:16

Once we hear the Word we must believe it. Believing is the beginning of understanding God’s plan, but His plan does not stop here.

3. Repent

“I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.” – Luke 13:3

After hearing and believing we need to repent (turn back) from our sins or we are still lost.

4. Confess

“Therefore, everyone who will acknowledge Me before men, I will also acknowledge him before My Father in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in heaven.” – Matthew 10:32-33

After repentance we must confess before men that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God.

5. Be baptized

“ ‘Repent,’ Peter said to them, ‘and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus the Messiah for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’ ” – Acts 2:38

Our sins are forgiven when we are immersed in the waters of baptism. Therefore, we must hear the Word, believe the Word, repent of our sins, confess Jesus as the Christ, and be baptized for the forgiveness of our sins.

6. Remain True to God

“Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God.” – Hebrews 3:12

We must remain faithful and true to the commands found in God’s Word. If we continue to walk according to what the Bible commands, we will one day live for eternity with God.

This is God’s plan of salvation as presented in the Bible.
